Emma Lee Frost is an analogue collage artist working with surrealist dreamscapes. Based between the tranquility of Knysna and the chaos of London, she uses thrifted or gifted paper materials, intricately cut and re-imagined to create her work.
The themes of fear, death, sexuality, the subconscious, spirituality and grief are prevalent in the work which started as a hobby in lockdown but has been an obsession ever since. Her work is influenced by her own dark sense of humour and deep personal anguish, as well as a love of the nostalgic, kitsch, creepy and obscure.
